I so miss your writing .... Let's get some more of the Home Series!!! You're a wonderful writer and can't wait for the newest! Thanks so much! I AM at work on a sixth book. My publisher dropped the series, no other wanted it, so I've had to fit in work on this one between paid jobs! In any case, once it's done, I'll announce it - and where and how to get it - right here! Thank you! Jerri

So thankful for my Kindle! I discovered your first book in the Take me Home series - and I have just finished the 5th one - how wonderful to spend the last few weeks in the company of your characters! Came on here to see if your 6th book is coming soon. So thanks for the lovely escape from my busy life with 3 young children here in New Zealand.:-) Such a sweet note, although I don't know how you find time to read with three little ones - I remember what life was like with just one! Hats off to you! Jerri

I grabbed SING ME HOME for my Kindle (for free!) As a Missourian/teacher/musician/cat-lover, it was SO fun to read this book! As a child, we drove to Camdenton when we were sick and needed to see a doctor. While I love to visit distant lands via reading, it was great to be able to really SEE the places you described! I look forward to reading the other books in the series! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It's equally fun to write about, too! Thanks for posting! Jerri

Jerri, I love your Home series. I live in Kansas and I can picture the setting as it would be in the Ozarks. Can't wait for the next book. Linda I'm in Kansas, too, and spent summers in the 'zarks growing up. I'm glad you enjoyed the series! Jerri 1/4/2012

please, please more Zeke ans Patricia. They really need to have a baby together, she is not too old. can't get enough of the Home Series. MORE MORE MORE Many thanks for the encouragement, lol!I hope to have a sixth book available online within the coming year, but probably centering on Daisy. Zeke's my fave "hero" so maybe he'll make a future appearance. Jerri 1/4/2012

Sooo lucky to have picked up your first book just by chance at our library. Have read all now and sure am praying for more. How anyone can say you are not among the likes of Robyn Carr, Susan Wiggs, Debbie Macomber is beyond me. Don't know a thing about e books but looks like I am gonna have to learn! LOL Love your comments - thank you so much for putting me in such stellar company! Jerri 10/3/2011

So glad that at last we'll be able to read a sixth book in your HOME series. The interwoven stories have been amazing. I've loved following the various members of the family as their lives have evolved in ever-surprising ways. Liz Thanks, Liz! The sixth is in the works, but I've suspended it for work on another which has publisher interest. (The better to pay the bills, you know. :)) Still, I'm hoping for an epublish date on that one sometime in the first six months of the year. Jerri 10/3/2011

Please!!!!! More of the Home series!!!
You are an amazing writer & I really want to see more from you. I work at a library & your books are popular. Thanks for what you've written so far. Wow. You just made my heart go pitter-patter, lol. Now that I can publish as an ebook even if a print publisher decides not to take a chance on continuing this series, I've got one underway! Thanks for the vote of confidence! Jerri 7/13/2011

I just read one of your books andf loved it(Take Me Home). I found you have several others. Should they be read sequentially? Thanks. Thanks for the note! The books don't need to be read sequentially, but a lot of readers prefer to do so. You started at the end. :) The first in the series is SING ME HOME. The sequential list can be viewed at the bottom left column of the booklist page. Jerri 7/11/2011

I read all the home series and enjoyed them all. I couldn't wait for another one to come out. I've asked at Barnes and Noble and checked the web site. Please please, we need more of the home series. My daughters all read them and feel the same way.
Bev Payne What a sweet note! I've been trying to decide whether to devote my energies (and the amount of writing time I have around my "day job") to writing another HOME book or working on a different project I have underway. I'm pleased to know that even if publishers don't think there's an audience for future volumes, (at least some) readers do! Thank you! Jerri 6/2011

Purchased your book "Home by Starlight" from Doubleday large print. There seems to be TWO 53 & 54 PAGES and I cannot follow the story. This is the first book I have purchased by you. Decided to set it aside. Maybe go back later!!! I'm sorry there's something "off" with the edition you have. I don't have a copy, so can't look to see if it's common throughout those books. Doubleday purchased the rights from my former publisher; I haven't any control over the process or contact within that company. Rather than set the book aside, though, I'd suggest that you contact wherever you purchased it and ask for a refund and/or a corrected version, just as you would with any defective or unsatisfactory product. Thanks for writing! Jerri, 3/28/11

Ms. Gallagher:
I am a long-time reader of romance novels, chick lit, and lots of other books, and I just wanted to tell you that I have loved your "Home" books. They are very well-written and tell great stories about believable people. I hope you are going to write more for us one of these days!
Roberta
Thanks, Roberta! I hope so, too! These books are now out of print (my former publisher didn't wish to continue the series) but will soon find new life as e-books available through Istoria Press. Should the response be good, then I hope to publish a 6th. It may, though, only be available as an e-book. Print publishers are leery about continuing a series started by a different publisher. Such is the business! Jerri 3/28/11

I did a cookbook for our church a couple of years ago and you submitted a couple of recipes (we credited your mom) and I've been anxiously awaiting a new book ... found your blog and am so excited that you started life over! (I also did at age 50). So I had to crack up at your blog ... we bought a house in an apple orchard!! And for the past 3 yrs, instead of shiny beautiful apples, ours have black spots all over them. So when your new fella figures it out ... we need to talk!! (lol). We had a couple hundred trees in the orchard, but cut down some scraggly ones. I didn't know how to 'join' your blog, but look forward to updates! Debi Pride (cookbook was from: First Baptist Church of Brunswick Maine)I remember, I remember! How funny about the apple orchard. We've planted no trees yet... too busy sinking money into lovely things like electrical panels and foundation repair and regrading... okay, okay, it's not all bad - we updated a ginormous kitchen which we love. I think you ought to figure out the apples first... Good to hear from you! jerri7/29/10

Just wanted to let you know that I just discovered you (at a used bookstore I'm sorry to say!) but now I'm all set to track down the rest in the "Home" series. And am excited to know you have a new book coming out. Really enjoy your quirky humor and amazing insight.

I couldn't believe it when I read that Janet Lambert was one of your favorite authors! Raised an Army Brat, I really identified with her characters and stories. Many years ago I was at a booksale and found 32 of her books that had been donated by a small town library. I grabbed them all up and keep them in a glassfronted old bookcase with other special books.

Wishing you the happy and ongoing endings you share with us!

Pat Trapp
McKinney, TX
I'm really jealous Pat! I look for Janet Lambert books at garage sales and the like, but haven't found many. I know I could find them on e-bay or online, but that would take the fun out of it. No new books on the schedule yet - the economic downturn has effected many authors. I've got one in the works that's uncontracted as yet, and still hope to do a sixth in the HOME series. I'll likely be "kindle-ing" that one - putting it up on Amazon. But don't hold your breath. That's likely a year out. Thanks for writing-glad you're enjoying my work! Jerri7/29/10

Hi Jerri. Love your books. I've been watching for something new. Hoping you'll be posting good news soon!
You are one of my fav authors & I recommend you to patrons of the library I work at all the time.
Happy New Year!
Julie
Thanks so very much, Julie - that's heartening to hear! Nothing yet, but you never know...! Jerri 1/27/10

You have anything new coming out. Haven't seen any thing in 2009. Thanks for the inquiry. My contract wasn't renewed after publication of my fifth HOME book; I'm currently working on proposals, am hoping for good news on one or the other. Will post on my website once I know! Jerri 10/22/09

Jerri, tis I, your student, Al Grover. I am fifty pages from the end of Home At Last. Very good writing. I am working on my next assignment, hoping to become a third of the writer you are. Using a friends computer to send this. Can't wait for the next book. Hi, Al! Good to "see" you here. Thanks so much for the praise--it means a lot! Jerri 5/08

I love your books and I think you are a one of the best writers in this genre. You write real in depth stories about families, not a formula romance-type like some writers. I read your books as soon as they are out and am impatient to read your next one. Thank you so much, keep it up. More, more please. Marlene I'm trying, really, Marlene! I have a proposal for a new series going out soon. Thanks for the warm words; they're very appreciated. Jerri 5/08

I love your books. Its hard to put them down. That's always good to hear! Jerri 02/08

Are you going to write anymore stories about the O'Malley family?? I would like to know what happens next for Andy & Mari or Stan & Florida Oh, I would, too. But my publisher has elected not to renew a contract for the HOME series. Hopefully I'll have something new to announce soon. Jerri 02/08

It is so exciting to find a new author who writes stories you love. Found Jerri Corgiat this summer, have read everyone of her books, and cannot wait for her next to be published! Keep writing, Jerri! And thanks! And it's exciting for me to have a new fan. Thanks for posting! Jerri 02/08

I have just finished Take me home and Home by starlight. I loved them so much I bought the other three. They are great books I could not put them down. Thank you for the great books. Linda And thank you, Linda, for the great compliment. I'm so glad you've enjoyed them. Jerri 11/07.

Just started reading your books. Finished #1, Reading #2 but already purchased the rest. I love them so far. I am a big fan of series so keep them coming. Boo-hoo. I wish I could! My publisher has declined anymore in that series. Maybe someday, somewhere else, who knows. Meantime, I'll update the site with what's next... as soon as I know what's next! Jerri Oct 2007

I have been hearing about your books. I was wondering if any of your books are on audiobook? No, I'm afraid they're not. Audio rights are an entirely separate sale from print rights, and nobody has yet raised their hand. Thanks for the interest, though! Jerri June 2007

I've read three books so far and have to find the forth. I wish there were more that she had wriiten.Thank you for reading three, hunting for the fourth...the fifth will be out in September! Jerri May 2007

I am always looking for a new author to catch my interest and I can honestly say you have caught mine. I love to read and your books have been a delight and I look forward to reading more. Thank you, Rachel Shows Thank you so much, Rachel; I'm touched by your comments. Jerri March 2007

I just discovered your books and love them. Are more planned? Edith
TAKE ME HOME will be out September 2007. As for others... I've just submitted a proposal. Keep your fingers crossed! Jerri Feb 2007

Jerri--Just wanted to say that I LOVE all your books.. Also I just wanted to thank you for signing them.... I will keep them always. You have a great friend in Nancy P. I always look forward to reading more of your new books. Dianna J. So you're Dianna! :) I'm so glad you've enjoyed the books... and, yes, Nancy is pretty special! Jerri 8/17/06

I just finished reading Home By Starlight. I reread all the books in the series first though so I could remember everybody. (It is an age thing!!!) If I had to pick a favorite in the series it would be Sing me Home and Home at Last. They were all great reads though. Will there be any more in this series. You know poor Seamus is still in that bar without anyone. Judy Hi Judy. I like Seamus, too, but unfortunately my editor nixed a story featuring him--she doesn't! I've had a number of people tell me my books can stand alone without reading the others, so hope you don't have to do this every time! Favorites? I'm not objective, obviously, but I've got a soft spot for FOLLOW ME HOME and STARLIGHT. Go figure! Thanks for writing! Jerri 7/06

Hi Jerri, It's Derek, I never knew you went to Egypt!!! Hopefully you didn't get spit on by a camel (my grandmother did when she went hehe). Good luck on your new book, my mother will be thrilled, she loves your work. See you at the lake!!! Why, Derek, fancy meeting you here! Nope, no spit--I moved too fast. :) It was fun seeing you and Louis recently! J 4/27/06

Will you be posting an excerpt of "Home By Starlight" soon?? Just Love those O'Malley girls, ever since I discovered "Sing Me Home" late one night in Walgreen's....I'm so glad you visited Walgreen's that night! I'm in the throes of moving; hope to be settled by end of April. Hopefully there will be an excerpt up by then. If not... remind me again! :) J 3/24/06

Hi. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful your stories are, but after reading what others have written it seems you already know. Thank you for the beautiful stories you tell. I'm looking forward to "Home By Starlight". Thanks, Brandie But I never get tired of hearing it! Thank you, Brandie! J 3/24/06

After reading all of Nicholas Spark's books, I was eager to find another author that would capture me. By chance I found "Sing Me Home," and now I can't wait to read the rest. It's brought the spark back into my marriage!!! Wow... I'm not sure I can take that credit... but I will! Thanks. J 1/30/06

Hi Jerri! Happy New Year! Loved Home At Last in August, and I'm in love w/ the cover picture for Home By Starlight already... Write Faster!!! Thanks for the sweet stories. Julie (memphis) 1/2/06 Thanks, Julie... I'm peddling as fast as I can. :) (And, yes, I love the cover, too! All of 'em, really.) J 1/30/06

Both my mother and I have really enjoyed your books. "Home at Last" was beautifully written, especially considering the sensitive topic. We cannot wait to read the next book in the O'Malley series!!
Thanks so much for letting me know--it really touches me to hear that both your mother and you share my books. J 12/11/05

Hi Jerri! Can't wait to read my first Jerri Corgiat book. Hope to meet you very soon.... Carrie (Kabak)
Well, this is a surprise! Meet Carrie Kabak, the author of COVER THE BUTTER, one of the best novels I've read this year! Thanks for visiting, Carrie! J 10/25/05

I can't find your email address on your site. Please enter me in your contest, my email address is (deleted). My choice from your book list is Follow Me Home. Thank you! Vicki
Hi Vicki. Sorry for the confusion--my email address is the last item in the Quick Links column. It reads "Talk to Me! (email)" I've taken your address & email off this posting to keep your confidentiality, but be assured you're entered! J 8/9/05

My last name is Corgiat too. I haven't read any of your books but I think its great that a Corgiat is doing something with her life. Congrats. -Chris Corgiat
Thanks, Chris. I bet we're related somewhere back in the past! J.

I really enjoy your books. I was just wondering when the next one will be out? Thanks, Kerrie
HOME AT LAST (previously titled HURRY HOME) has had an odd history. First it was scheduled for publication in October, then it moved to September, and now my publisher is saying August. Hopefully that latest information is correct! Thanks, Kerrie! Jerri 3/26/05

wonderfull...heartwarming, loving, is how I would describe," Follow me home". But now I am sooooo anxious for" Hurry Home", that I am going crazy. When is it coming out? Thank you for realizing this story needs sequels. countrygalcj@aol.com
Wow, countrygal! Want to write my reviews? :o) Please see my comment to Kerrie above for news on the release of the formerly-titled Hurry Home and thanks for writing! Jerri 3/26/05

Major Congrats!! On being nominated for Best Contemporary Novel with romantic elements for 2004 by RT!!!!!! Lori Devoti
Why thanks, Lori! Could have knocked me over with a feather (to use a trite phrase :o) ). I was absolutely amazed. Jerri

Love this idea instead of a guestbook--I may have to steal it. ;-) Your fellow MO author. Lori Devoti
Hi Lori! Thanks for dropping in to visit--wish I could say I thought this up myself, but I do believe I stole it from someone else. :o) Jerri

I really enjoy your books, just received Follow me Home yesterday. They are wonderful. I tried to register for your newsletter. How do I register? I appreciate you letting me know you've enjoyed my books--and about your problems registering for the newsletter. I've contacted you about this in a separate email. I hope we can get things taken care of.

I was just researching our family tree and found your link. Here in California we pronounce it Core-jet. Although I do occasionally tell people that it orginally had an "e" at the end and was pronounced cor-zhay. Nice to see some Corgiats in that part of the country, there are quite a few out here in the west.
I like your pronunciation--much easier to explain than our own. :o) It's nice to hear from another Corgiat--thanks for posting a note. Jerri 5/3/04

This month, I especially like "Shadow of the sun" by Tammy Hilz. An excellent mix of love, adventure, exotic setting...a very good book... But I can hardly wait to read your second book... The one was so great ; I spent a wonderful evening with it ! Love from France : JOELLE
How fun to hear from an overseas reader. Thanks so much for posting, Joelle! J 3/20/04

Wow! Thanks, Terri! J

I read the excerpt and now I am anxiously waiting to pick up my copy of your book that a friend has so graciously held for me. Congrats on your first book and I am looking forward to reading all of your work. Lori
I heard from Lori after she finished SMH, and she loved it! Thanks so much for writing, Lori! J 3/1/04

I picked up your book at the library (sorry that doesn't help your sales) and I have a day off today and had many plans but of course haven't gone forward with any of them until I finished your book. I absolutely loved it and hate to have to wait until November for the next one! Keep up the good work!
Sale or no, I'm so very, very pleased that you enjoyed it so much! Thanks for writing! J 1/31/04
