Editing ServicesJerri's editing services... Along with writing my own work, I love working with authors to help them make their writing the best it can be. I'm very pleased to offer editing and proofreading services. My qualifications... As a freelance editor, I’ve worked for such entities as Tekno Books (Five Star Publishing), critiquing manuscripts submitted for publishing consideration, then collaborating with the talented writers who’ve received contracts: suggesting revisions, editing, and proofing to help them make the work sing! I also copyedit - yes, all the nit-picky stuff - for Harlequin. As a former instructor for Long Ridge Writers Group in Connecticut, I was able to hone my writing skills and enhance the education I received as a University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism graduate (summa cum laude) by helping students raise the bar on their own creative writing. I’m an author of five novels, published by New American Library, a division of Penguin Putnam, and have years of corporate management experience which included copywriting for advertising, catalogs, and customer materials, writing reports, presentations, and such documents as training and human resource handbooks. If you're interested in retaining my services, please email me either using the "talk to me" button on my home page or at jerrilc@gmail.com. I'll be happy to send you more detailed information. My fees start around $300 and will be tailored to your needs. Please do not submit anything to me before contacting me concerning your project. I don’t want to waste your time—or your money. If I don’t think I’m a fit to help you fill your needs, I will absolutely let you know. Note: I am an author and editor. I do not hold an interest in any literary agency. I do actively seek editorial work from publishers. Your payment is only for editorial services as contracted and does not imply or guarantee future publication of your work. Your work will be held in confidentiality and not shared with anyone else without your permission. |
